Allan Gardens: A Taste of Summer

On Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I headed to Allan Gardens for a little taste of summer. Located off Carlton and Jarvis, Allan Gardens is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. The historic landmark dates back to the late 1800’s and was one of Toronto’s first public spaces.

The 16,000 square foot string of greenhouses is open year-round and is home to gorgeous plants from around the world. There are even a couple ponds, one with koi fish and another with turtles! From olive trees to cacti, Allan Gardens is a beautiful, warm space that offers a nice temporary refuge from the cold we’ve been experiencing here in Toronto.
